While the National Testing Agency (NTA) notifies the exact NEET 2027 dates closer to the exam, the cycle typically follows a predictable annual pattern. Here is what NEET aspirants should plan around, based on previous years' timelines.

Typical NEET Application Window

Applications for NEET usually open in the first week of February and close by early March. Aspirants should keep scanned documents, category certificates and photographs ready well in advance to avoid last-minute upload issues.

Admit Card Release

Admit cards are typically released roughly 2-3 weeks before the exam date, usually in the last week of April. Always download and print multiple copies as soon as they're released.

Exam Day

NEET is conducted as a single-day, offline (pen-and-paper) national exam, typically in the first week of May, from 2:00 PM to 5:20 PM. Reporting time at the centre is usually 2 hours before the exam begins — do not treat this as flexible.

Result & Counselling

Results are generally declared within 4-6 weeks of the exam, followed by state and All-India counselling rounds through June, July and August.
